I did not know original recording date. However I attended a Pentecostal wedding in November that year. This song was one of the songs performed that day.
I felt my spirit wanting to burst out in praise. But wait! It’s a wedding.
A minister assisting with the wedding stepped up to the pulpit and said that because of the OBVIOUS PRESENCE of the Spirit of God, we should take a moment and give PRAISE TO THE LORD! It seemed to especially indicate God’s approval of the union taking place.

There was an old woman at my church many years ago. She couldn't walk anymore so she was in a wheelchair. The pastor asked her to sing. Woman took the mike, apologized that her voice wasn't what it used to be, and thus proceeded to blow the roof off the church. Folks were flying out the church like debris. I mean, by the time it was over, I had goosebumps popping out over my skin. She had a deep contralto voice with a twang that warmed the words. My gosh, I know Ms. Patty and Mr. Harris are older, but you can't tell from that at all! And why is no one throwing pews! At least the clapping was much more appreciative. Beautiful song. Just keep blessing my soul, please. I'll take it.

Just found this duet for the very 1st time in July 2023 and it is blessing my soul to the umpteenth degree and is bringing me to tears, that when I really think as to who Jesus is and who we are........my Soul and my Spirit is humbled and I'm tearing up. Thank you Lord Jesus.

They're both Great Singers, But, nobody else out there could ever match Sandie Pattie's Voice. Nobody Can!!! She knows how to Belt it out!!! Amen!!!

This combination of voices is my favorite. I’ve Just Seen Jesus is another favorite by them. Them. After being in the hospital with pneumonia, zi was in a care center recovering. One day I was taken to an Exercycle and told the teacher could put her phone on whatever music I wanted for background.?I said Gaither please and especially these two.?what a joy to exercise to that background.
It is interesting that we see this in our most godly artists! Philip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire is another Brother in Christ whose vocal power exceeds expectation for a man of any age, let alone 70ish! It seems like Sandi, Larnelle and Philip, among others are even more powerful now than ever! Then there is (take your pick from) the Winans family, the Gaithers, etc...!

I've been listening to this song by these 2 for decades. I'm blown away still decades later. They are both so Anointed and so talented. This song always leaves me crying tears of JOY!
This song came to mind earlier this evening when I was at church. When I started listening to Christian music in my youth, I always liked the contemporary stuff and didn't really care for singers such as Sandi Patti. Her music was too mellow for my taste. That changed though not very long ago. As I've grown a little older and matured in my walk with Christ, I still like the contemporary music styles but now I also like the classic singers such as Sandi Patti. This particular song "More than Wonderful" is so beautiful! Strip away the music and just the lyrics alone are awesome! I don't know of a better way to describe Jesus and I can say personally that this is what Jesus is to me. He's everything to me!

In 2001 i was living at South Africa's superstar BRENDA FASSIE'S house....
So i happened to have a gospel cd bought at Rhema church book shop
at times i would play this song in the house just for my own personal need ....
to my surprise Brenda's son was captured deeply by this track that i was always playing in their house
And it became one of his favorite song to hear
Occasionally asking me to bring it out and play it loud .....although i knew he was strictly into hip-hop music

I am so blessed to see this couple reunite and hear them sing my favorite song! This was my Wedding Song 25 years ago!! Time has passed since I first heard this song back in my high school years (70's) , but my love for this song and for Jesus hasn't changed. He has been with me as a teenager, then with my husband and me in our marriage every step of the way, and promises to never leave us nor forsake us!! My Jesus was, is and will always be "more than wonderful".

I seen sandi Patti 3 times in concert in OKC where she is from. She is a very gracious god fearing Christian I love hearing her sing especially when she goes into falsetto voice. Very talented that's why she's won numerous dove awards.

This was one of my dad’s all-time favorite songs (and he was a huge music lover). He played this song and loved it so much, we had it played at his funeral in 2016.
