| Erina is the best :) She's so tsundere, of course she wouldn't tell Souma his food is delicious hahaha. I'm glad Souma and the other Polar Star members are changing the way she thinks about cooking. Such great development for her so far, and we're still in the middle of this arc! |

| This seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I feel like Shokugeki hasn't been doing it for me lately. I didn't find the last season particularly extravagant, but I still enjoyed it. I hope they do better this season. The first episode... well, it was okay for me. Let's hope they don't fuck up any characters. |

| I really didn't want to start watching this while airing I planned to watch this on Netflix when it becomes available there like the previous seasons or at the very least wait till the season finished airing and then marathon it but I got bored and I thought this season is full of good stuff especially sequels so why not try some and I picked this and what do I get? The best first episode of a season yet. I'm looking forward to what comes next. |

| The new opening is great ! And this episode was rather good, or at least better than the first half of San no Sara, though I couldn't really grasp Erina's purpose '-' (on a side note: I really like Tsukasa, I hope he doesn't turn out to be a complete asshole by the end of the season) |

| Still not a fan of the Central plot but this was a fun episode and a nice change of pace too having Erina meet Soma in his room and talk to him about how his father made her love cooking before Azami got involved with the brainwashing. Soma's not a guy who's amazing with words but he sure puts his heart on the plate to get his message across. Now that the Promotion Exam arcs has begun and will last for a while, it's now going to be a journey seeing how these handicapped Rebel students survive against Central's examiners and standards. |
