Option 1 you use spanish mod and it is missing an image file, option 2 you cheated with some mod and the cheatprotection causes it, option 3 any other mod or update incompatibility like using compressed update on full 7.2 or otherway around...

Any jokes--crass or otherwise--I make about this VN or the characters is always just to get a laugh (sick humor or otherwise). I really love this VN, the story and the characters.

Let me explain.So at the end of episode 8 we see pregnancy test positive. Maybe the bouncer actually was Zoey's BF.So I think he's the one who got Zoey pregnant and assuming he knows it he ran away to wherever B&R is located ( I think it's really far away for him to think it's safe) .So Zoey might have found out and is now looking for him.

If Zoey rocked up pregnant to some other dude and expected the mc (or his dad) to help, that would just suck the fun out of this game.
In real life that shit can happen, and if they are a good friend then sure, you help where you can, but it’s not fucking fun.
This game is meant to be fun, intriguing, emotional, but not just mundane real life bullshit.

if this were to happen i might consider ranking this game lower, not cause of the ntr aspect(cause i don't give a shit about zoey) but cause this game has too much melodrama, there's already too many renders wasted on maya's bullshit storyline, there's no need for zoey trying to topple her.

I doubt she would be smiling like that if she was pregnant. I think it's more she expects to rekindle something with the MC even though she was the one who took off and broke contact. I hope it will be kinda funny though, she shows up at B&R and DIK MC is banging half the girls on campus

This leads me to believe that Zoey hasn't broken up with her boyfriend. In general, what makes you think that Zoey and her boyfriend broke up? This is not stated anywhere in the game. This dude and Zoey could have left San Diego on their own. Perhaps the tattoo parlor owned by this dude (judging by the background picture of the interlude) went bankrupt and they had a lot of debts. This guy got a job as a security guard in a bar while Zoey works as a waitress, for example. Do we need another “I’m with someone else” story line? If Zoey is with this guy we may as well rename the game “Being the Other Man”.
This wouldn’t bother me in the slightest if DPC actually explored the intricacies of relationships formed this way. I don’t need to see them in relationships with other guys but if you’re gonna tell me they are I wanna see that impact the plot.
Sage is basically monkey branching from Chad to MC and nobody bats an eye. Maya/Josy both cheated and never address that, just shrug and form a triad. Bella has discussed the finer points of orchid care more than her marriage thus far… I don’t mind that the girls are in relationships but why have them in relationships if it has precisely fuck all influence on the plot? That nobody mentions it? It’s ripe for characterisation. Maya and Josy might win back some sympathy from certain elements if they showed some level of remorse. Sage could define herself as a DIK leaning character justifying her infidelity.
We just don’t see consequences of these girls being in relationships which leads me to believe it was a catch all stalling tactic. If Zoey is in a relationship or was and it’s now complicated… I’m not fucking about with that for the 5th time. All the other times it’s been to the individual story arcs detriment that they’re technically with someone else. For all the difference it makes DPC should have Zoey in the army reserves or some shit to stall romance.
